Croydon

A planting design for a single level brick home with views towards the Dandenong Ranges. The brief was to design a modern, naturalistic garden which softens the existing hard landscape elements and brings seasonal interest and habitat for abundant insects and birdlife.

The response uses a mix of Australian native and Mediterranean plants - informally positioned pencil pines which frame the views without interrupting them, groundcovers which spill over the stone wall and native grasses which soften the space and deliver a connection to place.
